Our mission: Empowering communities with clean energy and water
Africa Recharge is a non-profit organization committed to advancing equitable access to sustainable energy and safe water solutions in underserved regions of Africa. The organization operates at the intersection of renewable energy deployment, sustainable water infrastructure, technical capacity development, and community-based implementation.
Our mission is to contribute to inclusive socio-economic development and climate resilience by promoting the adoption of clean energy technologies and reliable water access systems, with a particular focus on solar-based off-grid and mini-grid solutions, as well as boreholes and solar-powered water pumping systems. Through integrated project approaches, Africa Recharge supports both infrastructure development and the strengthening of local technical capacities, ensuring the long-term functionality, sustainability, and local ownership of both energy and water systems.
In line with international development priorities, the organization places strong emphasis on youth employment, skills development, and local value creation, enabling communities to actively participate in and benefit from the energy transition and improved access to essential resources such as clean water.
